Extra Space Storage at Winslow celebrates groundbreaking
Homestake Capital and Harvestate Group broke ground this week at Extra Space Storage at Winslow.
Winslow, NJ – Need some extra space? You’re in luck! Homestake Capital and Harvestate Group, alongside Winslow Township Mayor Barry Wright, broke ground earlier this week at Extra Space Storage at Winslow, located at 310 Sicklerville Road in Winslow Township.
“We were able to put a team together and get all the necessary entitlements and approvals in place to break ground on this property in less than a year,” said Stephen Patron of Harvestate Group. “This is a true testament to the relationship we have with Winslow Township.”
With hardhats on and shovels in hand, Michael J. Kokes and Clark McIntyre of Homestake Capital; Winslow Township Mayor Barry Wright, and Stephen Patron and Chris Patron of Harvestate Group broke ground on what is certain to become a substantial ratable for Winslow Township. John Kirkenir, also a partner on the project, was not present for the groundbreaking.
“Steve Patron has brought so many good projects to Winslow Township,” said Mayor Wright. “We have some homeowners back here in The Woodlands that were very concerned about what was going to go on this particular piece of property. So, when Steve and his partners came up with the idea of building a climate-controlled self storage facility, a true top-class operation like everything else Steve does, we knew it would be a great ratable for Winslow.”
“Extra Space Storage is going to serve our people, give them storage space, and, even more important than that, it makes the neighbors happy,” Mayor Wright added. “I thank you for coming here to Winslow. You’re a great partner.”
The new Extra Space Storage facility in Winslow, expected to open in January 2020, will accommodate 595 storage units across 66,300 rentable SF. “This is a wonderful project, and it couldn’t have happened without our entire team, and Winslow Township is very much a part of that team,” said Patron.
Extra Space Storage is the second largest operator of self-storage facilities in the United States. Since the company was founded in 1977, Extra Space Storage has taken the industry by storm. In 2015, the company added $1.8 billion in new acquisitions to its national portfolio. ARCO Design/Build Industrial is the general contractor overseeing the buildout of the project.
